Application and nomination deadlines are approaching soon:
15 October 2006. We are looking forward to receiving
your submissions for the following: ESCMID Excellence Award,
Young Investigator Awards, Research Fellowships, and the ESCMID and
bioMérieux Award for Advances in Clinical Microbiology!

Deadline for abstract submission 17th ECCMID / 25th ICC 2007:
All participants are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at
the 17th ECCMID / 25th ICC (Munich, Germany, 31 March - 3 April 2007).
Deadline: 16 November 2006
European Funding Opportunities

Framework Programme 7: First drafts of Work Programme 2007 have been
released by DG Research of the European Commission.
The very preliminary drafts of these first Work Programmes for Health
(Cooperation - Theme 1), Food, Agriculture and Biotechnology
(Cooperation - Theme 2) and People (former Marie Curie Programme) in FP 7
have been circulating informally. The drafts identify the content of the
first calls in 2007. For details please send an email to

Tempus Programme: Call for Joint European Projects (JEP 06):
The Tempus Programme is a Higher Education Co-operation scheme between
EU member states and partner countries in Western Balkans,
Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and the Mediterranean countries.
