ESCMID School. The 5th ESCMID
School 2006 will take place from 10 - 16 June in Santander, Spain. It is
dedicated to postgraduate and continuous medical education. The programme
covers a broad range of relevant topics in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious
Diseases, thus being of interest to young MDs at the end of their specialty
training as well as to biologists, pharmacists, PhD students and postdoctoral
fellows working in the infection field.
If you are supervising younger colleagues who might benefit from the ESCMID

The ESCMID awards and research fellowships for 2007 have been announced on the
ESCMID website.

ESCMID Award for Excellence: we especially encourage our affiliated
societies to nominate senior scientists for this most prestigious award

ESCMID Young Investigator Awards: to honour outstanding research by
scientists below 40 years of age

bioMérieux / ESCMID Award for Advances in Clinical Microbiology: to
recognise major contributions to the field of clinical microbiology by young
colleagues from Central and Eastern Europe

ESCMID Research Fellowships: to support excellent research by ESCMID
members below 40 years of age
